Emporia State University Marketing Intern

We are seeking a motivated Marketing and Communications Intern to join our team and participate in a dynamic micro-internship program. This role is for 150 hours per semester and has an estimated start date of Tuesday, September 3rd. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end process of transforming ideas into polished marketing products. You will collaborate closely with various teams including photography, copywriting, vendor management, and graphic design to optimize our marketing processes.

Job Type: On Campus Student Employment

Wages: $10 for undergrad, $10.50 for grad

Work Schedule: To be worked out with supervisor

Duties:

· Learn and assist in the entire lifecycle of marketing projects from concept development to final execution.

· Participate in selecting appropriate artwork and photography to enhance marketing materials.

· Work alongside copywriter to refine messaging and ensure alignment with branding guidelines.

· Collaborate with vendors and graphic designers to streamline production workflows.

· Provide constructive feedback to improve the quality and efficiency of marketing deliverables.

· Contribute to the development of standardized templates and processes to enhance marketing efficiency.

· Identify and address challenges within the marketing materials process, proposing innovative solutions.

Learning Objectives:

· Gain practical experience in project management and marketing coordination.

· Develop skills in artwork and copy selection, vendor relations, and graphic design processes.

· Build relationships with industry professionals and team members across different functions.

· Acquire insights into branding strategies and effective communication tactics.

Qualifications:

· Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
