Established in March 1863, Emporia State is the third-oldest public university in the state of Kansas and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. With over 60 master programs, ESU was the highest ranking Kansas school in the 2024 U.S. News & World Report, Top Public Schools in the Midwest, coming in at #83.
