I really like the experience I'm getting by working in the hospital setting. R1 has invested their time and resources to further help their leadership teams and they are constantly growing giving us opportunities to grow with the company.
What I wish was different
Personally, I wish I could spend more time at home. Being a supervisor requires flexibility.

Be open minded, always ready to learn, offer to help because it shows your commitment and that you care about the team.

Good hospital exposure. Get to see what happens in the ER without having to deal with it.

Hours are long. Often there are 12 and a half hour shifts.

What I liked
Amazing company culture, freedom to own my projects. Lots of feedback so I can continually improve, and the work was intellectually stimulating. You can tell that management truly cares about its team members. I loved that as an intern I was able to pitch a personal project and I received overwhelming support from the team to make it happen.
