CNA / unit aide
June 2020 • Grand Rapids, MI
What I liked
I gained lots of patient contact experience with dementia patients as sexual assault victims as well as more standard hospitalizations.
What I wish was different
I wish there wouldn't have been a nursing and CNA shortage. The more patients you have to take care of the less personal the job is.
Advice
Take time to talk to and get to know your patients. Often the most valuable thing you can do for them is to listen.
