What I liked
I felt that through working as a hospice volunteer, I got the opportunity to see medicine through the lens of doctors, therapists, and nurses. Through this experience, I was able to really hone in on what I wanted in a future career. I was also able to become really close with the patients I worked with and because of that, they shared their experiences with me and through their perspectives, I can see what makes a well-rounded physician.
