Job Overview 

Fenix Commerce  is looking for a ML/data engineer to help us with applying our deep machine learning framework in conjunction with our unique database on logistics and supply chain dynamics in service of accelerating delivery/shipping modules with AI for our clients in the B2C/ecommerce space. 

At Fenix Commerce, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the most interesting tasks to support data scientists' environments. 

Fenix Commerce uses a class of deep machine learning, and unique data to predict margins per transaction with best-in-class accuracy. 

How we work 

Fenix Commerce is a fully remote company, with employees located mainly San Francisco/Bay Area.  

What you will do 

· Deploy sophisticated ML solutions via appropriate tools on the AWS stack, such as Amazon Kinesis etc. 

· Ingest and aggregate data at scale from both internal and external data sources to build data lakes for data scientists. 

· Create new pipelines or rewrite existing pipelines and build reusable components at scale to support reporting & analytics data products 

· Write complex and efficient queries to transform raw data sources into easily accessible models by coding across Spark, Scala, Python and SQL 

· Clean, prepare and optimize data at scale for ingestion and consumption 

· Implement new data management projects and re-structure of the current data architecture 

· Implement automated workflows and routines using workflow scheduling tools like Apache airflow 

· Solve complex data issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational issues 

· Own the data pipeline stack and support in the event of systems failure. 

· Collaborate with other engineers, ML specialists, and partners, taking learning and leadership opportunities 

Requirements 

Strong experience in deploying cloud-based, sophisticated, custom ML solutions on the AWS stack using tools like Kinesis or similar  

Experience building AWS-based infrastructures 

Experience with Apache Airflow 

Fluency in Spark frameworks (Scala, Python, Java, SQL) 

3+ years of professional experience 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams 

Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
