Licensed Practical Nurse 2
Salary: $48,060 annually ($4,005 monthly)
Job Type: Full-Time | Location: Nashville, TN

Overview:
Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute (MTMHI) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse 2 to provide high-quality nursing care in a hospital setting. This role involves patient care, monitoring, and collaboration with a healthcare team to support individuals in achieving optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications, monitor side effects, and document effectiveness.
  • Perform vital signs checks and assist with emergency responses like CPR.
  • Prepare and collect lab specimens, ensuring proper transport protocols.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on self-care techniques and health management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, assessments, and procedures.
  • Ensure medical equipment and work areas are clean and functional.
  • Communicate with supervisors, peers, and external entities to coordinate patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Current practical nurse license in Tennessee or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • BLS and CPR certifications (preferred).
  • A valid driver’s license may be required.

Additional Requirements:
Candidates must pass a criminal background check, provide fingerprints, and clear the Department of Health's Vulnerable Persons Registry review.
