BAMM is a global insights agency, made up of strategists, researchers, and creatives who work within our NYC and London-based offices. We use a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to help leading global brands understand their consumers and drive their businesses forward through creative, visually-led outputs. We work across a range of clients (Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Shell, Pernod Ricard, Meta, and Jaguar Land Rover, to name a few).

BAMM is looking for a curious and passionate person to join our small insights team for a 3-month internship. As an intern at BAMM, you’ll be expected to support the insights team on various US projects. 

It might sound like a cliche, but no two days are the same at BAMM. You can expect to be involved in a range of projects, from ethnographies to product testing to online focus groups. This is a chance to stretch your experience, work with some of the world’s largest brands, and help push innovation.

What we’re expecting of you:

At your level, we’re not expecting you to have years and years of practical experience. What is more important to us is an interest, and a ~natural flair~ for what we call the ‘big three’: culture, brands, and people. 

As part of the insights team at BAMM, you’ll work alongside our qualitative and project management teams. We’ll provide you with on-the-job training to develop your insight and strategy skills.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Help recruit excellent participants for our qualitative research projects, including making recruitment calls to screen participants and schedule fieldwork
  • Conduct desk research 
  • Project management and logistics support 
  • Lite-touch moderation of online research 
  • Note-taking for online focus groups /in-depth interviews
  • Analyze outputs and help develop insights with project team
  • Assist with the write-up process within each project, e.g. sourcing data, quotes, writing market summary sections. 
  • Contribute to TheDROP, our ongoing cultural trends program

 

Skills and experience you’ll need: 

We’re looking for someone with a social sciences background e.g. sociology, anthropology, psychology, but above all, we’re looking for a sharp, dynamic person who is: 

  • A fast learner and happy to contribute in an agency environment
  • Has good attention to detail
  • A proactive team player
  • Is highly organized and able to juggle multiple plates to keep on top of project work effectively 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current student or recent graduate with social science or marketing experience (psychology, anthropology, advertising, sociology, philosophy, etc) preferred but not mandatory
  • Full-time availability
  • Strong interest in qualitative research and methods
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Note: BAMM is not able to  provide a work laptop for this role and expects the intern to use their personal laptop

 

Job Compensation:

  • Full-time position (Monday - Friday from 9am - 6pm)
  • We run a hybrid office model of 3 days in the office (Williamsburg, Brooklyn) and 2 days remote
  • Internship pays $1,600 bi-monthly
  • Internship does not include PTO
