Camp Volunteers
Harbor Humane Society is looking for camp assistants for our summer camps!
Every year, Harbor creates a line-up of youth camps for kids interested in animals and humane education. Our camps are designed for kids to learn different skills regarding patience, empathy, responsible pet care, and compassion for all creatures. Each camp features a variety of animal related topics that entertain and teach children the ins-and-outs of animal welfare, and are designed around a different theme each week. From Animal Art Camp to Career Camp, we try to capture the interests of each child.
Camp assistants will report to our Program Manager and will help with the daily functions of our day camps. They will monitor the children attending, assist in activities, and handle animals. Volunteers will be able to participate in games, arts and crafts, lessons, and all of our animal time. They are expected to adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by Harbor.
We are primarily looking for volunteers who can commit to attending at least one full week of camp, with preference given to those who can commit to more. Students who are interested in education, animal welfare, and non-profits are encouraged to contact us and apply.
