
Paralegal 1/2 Flex
The Regulatory Commission of Alaska is recruiting for a Paralegal 1/2 flex position located in Anchorage!
What you will be doing:
The Paralegal will be responsible for logistical and procedural support of the hearing examiners/administrative law judges. Duties include determining and calendaring timelines and dates, scheduling and planning hearings and adjudications, assisting in drafting and issuing commission orders, assembling hearing notebooks and other materials, and general administrative support as needed.

Who we are looking for:
Administrative Law: Knowledge of state and Federal administrative laws, including procedures, regulations, guidelines, and precedents related to case preparation and settlements.
Legal, Government, and Jurisprudence: Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, legal practices and documents, Government regulations, Executive orders, agency rules, Government organization and functions, and the democratic political process.
Law: Knowledge of State and federal laws, including legal and court procedures, regulations, guidelines, precedents, admissibility of evidence, case preparation, and/or settlements for applicable areas of law practiced or supported.
Writing: Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information (for example, facts, ideas, or messages) in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material, that is appropriate for the intended audience.
Written Communication: Writes in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience.
