SUMMARY:
Performs standardized chemical analyses in a variety of environmental matrices.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Minimum of 3 credits in chemistry or biology from a recognized college or technical institute.
Experience: No experience required
License/Certification: none
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes environmental samples in a variety of matrices for inorganic or organic parameters to generate quality data from which conclusions can be drawn on important public health or environmental issues.
- Maintains and evaluates quality control records generated to ensure proper quality work has been performed and all work meets EPA and NELAC criteria.
- Enters laboratory results into the Laboratory Information System (LIMS)
- Cleans laboratory glassware.
