Healthcare Data Stewardship Intern

Seeking students interested in gaining practical experience in customer engagement, project coordination, and healthcare IT. 

  • Position: Healthcare Data Stewardship Intern
  • Duration: May 5, 2025 –December 12, 2025 
  • Part time, working 15 – 29 hours/week 
  • Remote, based in Michigan (Eastern Time Zone) 
  • Wage: $14/hour  

The company is currently not authorized to support remote work employees in the following locations: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Delaware, Idaho, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, Utah, Wyoming. 

The student internship program accepts international students with up-to-date work authorization for off-campus employment.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Support data stewardship including patient matching to maintain the enterprise index
  • Create, edit, export, analyze, and distribute reports using Excel
  • Review, coordinate, manage incoming help desk tickets from customers currently using our products
  • Identify, coordinate, and implement process improvements
  • Use multiple tools to track, validate, and load data file submissions
  • Troubleshoot file validation errors and provide feedback to customers
  • Carryout processes to transform and load data into various systems
  • Track updates to ensure completed work is properly captured in help desk tickets
  • Develop and revise process documentation and knowledge articles

Qualifications

  • Interest in healthcare information technology as a career path.
  • Ability to effectively build rapport in a remote working environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail- especially during data entry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be legally eligible to work in the US and off-campus.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital tools like Zoom, JIRA, Confluence, HubSpot CRM, Microsoft Outlook, and Teams.
