The Information Technology Specialist I (Software System Administrator) acts as a technical expert responsible for administering and maintaining EDD's Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications. The incumbent is responsible for system configuration, incident management, request management, change management, and user support, with a strong emphasis on prioritizing end-user needs and collaborating effectively with technical staff and stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain comprehensive system documentation. The incumbent will also provide support on application projects/initiatives as needed.

The position is located in the heart of downtown Sacramento at EDD's headquarters office at 800 Capitol Mall, Sacramento CA. 95814. The position may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
