Job Summary:
Advanced Research Systems is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Scientist, Engineer, or Sales Professional to join the growing sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of our cryogenic probe stations and related accessories as a consultative expert to our network of sales reps throughout the world.
This role requires a strong understanding of the physical sciences and experience in using laboratory instruments in engineering, mechanical, or experimental physics research. The position is well suited for transitioning out of academia and into the private sector.
Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities within the applicable fields of research.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including researchers, engineers, and purchasing agents.
- Conduct product presentations to showcase the features and benefits of ARS cryogenic probe stations.
- Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and quotations.
- Negotiate and assist in preparing final proposals and tenders for sale.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
- Up to 10% travel for installations, conferences, and trade shows.

Technical Expertise:
- Possess a deep understanding of cryogenic technology and its application to the research performed using cryogenic probe stations. I.E. Electromechanical Devices, Superconducting Circuits, Thin Films, Novel Semiconductors, Superconducting Qubits, etc.
- Provide technical support and training to customers on the operation and application of ARS probe stations.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on customer needs and product improvements.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to customer problems.

Customer Relationship Management:
- Act as a primary point of contact for customers and ARS sales representatives, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.
- Proactively identify, track, and address potential customer issues or concerns.

Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular sales reports to management, including sales forecasts, market trends, and competitive analysis.
- Analyze customer feedback and identify opportunities for product development and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related technical field. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a post graduate researcher, technical sales, or experimentalist, within cryogenic, semiconductor, research, or related industries.
- Experience with cryogenic probe stations, semiconductor device characterization, or materials research is highly preferred.

Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of cryogenic technology, semiconductor physics, and device characterization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Proficient in using office software, productivity suites, or LabVIEW.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects lasting greater than six months.
