Special Education Preschool Teacher - Ashbury Elementary – 2025-26 School Year

Description: Preschool teachers work closely with families and ancillary service providers to ensure young students begin their school experience with a solid foundation of developmentally appropriate skills and abilities, and families clearly understand the important role they serve as their children enter school.  Responsibilities of this position include, teaching in a preschool classroom, resource support and case management for students with special needs and home visits.

Qualifications: Nebraska Department of Education Certification Special Education PK or Special Education with Early Childhood Endorsement.

Salary: The school district pays based on a Negotiated Pay Scale determined by degree and years of experience.

Benefits: PLCS pays 100% of the healthcare premium for employee only PPO insurance plans and all high deductible plans. PLCS pays 93% of the premium for all other PPO plans. Through the Nebraska School Employees Retirement System 9.78% of the gross salary is deposited into a retirement account. The District matches the contribution at the rate of 101%.
