Temporary virtual tutors

Southampton County Public Schools is seeking temporary virtual tutors, before school, and after school tutors to support students in grades 3-12 in the subjects of Math, Science, English, and History. Tutors will have the flexibility to choose the grade levels they prefer to teach. These tutoring opportunities are open to all majors.

Compensation:

Licensed Teachers and Administrators: $40 per hour

Non-Certified Tutors: $20 per hour

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in at least one of the following subjects: Math, Science, English, or History
• Strong communication and instructional skills
• Ability to engage students in a virtual learning environment
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is preferred but not required
• Must have a reliable internet connection and access to a computer

Additional Details:

• Tutors can select the grade levels (3rd-12th) they are most comfortable teaching.
• Sessions will be conducted virtually, requiring familiarity with online learning platforms.
