Career Center Adult & Alumni Marketing and Social Media Intern

The Career Center seeks a creative and driven marketing and social media intern for the 2025-2026 academic year. As part of the Intern Cohort, this role will collaborate with the office Marketing Committee to specifically support the Adult and Alumni Career Resources Coordinator.

Duties

Marketing and Communications:

  • Develop and implement innovative, targeted marketing and PR strategies to enhance awareness and engagement with the Career Center’s adult and alumni career resources and events, tailoring content to meet the unique needs of adult learners and alumni.
  • Engage campus groups and organizations to promote services.
  • Design promotional materials (flyers, brochures, posters, banners, social media designs) tailored to adult learners and alumni.
  • Write, edit, and proofread copy for department promotions, including printed materials, webpages, ads, handbooks, event calendars, and emails (e.g., Career section in the monthly online adult learners newsletter).

Social Media:

  • Create and manage social media content for adult learners and alumni on, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Support social media growth by collaborating with marketing interns to explore new strategies (e.g., Instagram giveaways).

Digital Media:

  • Capture and share photos/videos from Adult Learner and Alumni events for social media and website.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Analyze social media performance and adjust strategies to enhance reach and engagement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects effectively
  • Comfortable being on camera
  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively, with regular progress updates to supervisor
  • Positive attitude with the ability to accept and apply constructive feedback
  • Ability to adapt messaging and design to resonate with different audiences, particularly adult learners and alumni
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

Additional Details

  • Paid internship, $16.33 an hour
  • 10-15 hours per week
  • Must commit to full academic year internship (August 19, 2025 - May 1, 2026)
  • Work will primarily be done in-person at the downtown Pew Campus
