Internship - Sales Analyst
The Sales Analyst is responsible for analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve sales performance, optimize promotional activities and enhance reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience is sales reporting, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing sales data to identify business trends and performance insights.
- Support the development of standardized sales reports to improve visibility across the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and ensure alignment on business needs.
- Support senior analyst to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy.
- Monitor sales performance against key performance indicators (KPI’s) and flag variances or areas of opportunity.
- Assist in the preparation of business reviews and presentations to provide data-backed insights to stakeholders.
- Leverage tools like Excel, Power BI to generate reports and create visualizations that simplify complex data.
- Support ad-hoc data requests and analysis to support the sales team.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, basic formulas).
- Familiar with data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Position Requirements:
- Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Data Analytics or related field.
- Enrolled as Junior or Senior in College.
- Experience working with large data sets and generating insights preferred.
Base Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
