The Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, Division of Corporations, Business & Professional Licensing, is recruiting for a Regulations Specialist 2 located in Juneau!

What you will be doing: 

This position utilizes a high degree of written and oral communication skills to work independently and collaboratively with professional licensing program managers, the Department of Law, and the Office of the Governor regarding Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development (DCCED), Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing (CBPL) regulations. 

This position reviews, researches, interprets, analyzes board and department recommended regulation changes across all CBPL programs, is responsible for posting public notices, and facilitating the adoption of appropriate regulations and directives to remain in compliance with state and federal standards. This position also acts as a subject matter expert on the division's regulations, regularly works with the publications team to update various webpages with regulatory information, and presents board recommended regulation change updates during board meetings. 

The regulations section at the division is a two-person team that works independently on separate regulations projects.

The working environment you can expect:   

The Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing is located in downtown Juneau on the 9th floor of the State Office Building located at 333 Willoughby Ave. Juneau, AK 99801.

The daily work environment is fast paced and offers many opportunities for professional growth. During the probationary period, working in office is required. Teleworking options are available to suited candidates of successfully complete the probationary period.
