Engineer Internship at Lenco Armor Vehicles in Pittsfield, MA. Hours are 7:00-3:30pm Monday through Friday. This is a fantastic opportunity for students interested in making a career in the manufacturing sector. Exclusively an in-person position in Pittsfield, MA, right here in the Berkshires. Means of Transportation is required.

JOB SUMMARY: Engineering Intern is responsible for assisting the Design and
Manufacturing Engineers in the implementation of design and engineering
activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Hands-on prototyping and testing of designed parts and accessories
• Welding and metal fabrication of prototypes
• Troubleshoot fitment issues and make recommendations for adjustments.
• Operate 3D printing and laser cutting machines
• Operate and run parts in the house machine shop
• Create and update SOP’s for documentation of assembly and repair procedures
• 3D modeling of basic components
• Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures and policies
• Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
• Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies
• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on manufacturing experience
EDUCATION:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• College education or Trade school preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Welding and metal fabrication experience
• Knowledge of 3D printing and laser cutting machines a plus
• Operating of Manual and CNC machining equipment a plus
• SolidWorks and CAD software skills and experience
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
