School-Based Mental Health Therapist
****Sign on Bonus of $3000
The School-Based Mental Health Therapist provides clinical services in Prince George's County, MD to assigned clients within the clinician’s assigned school-based office or in the school building.
Responsibilities:
1) Provides clinical assessment and treatment services to assigned clients. These services may include:
· Individual, Group, and Family Therapy
· Clinical assessments
· Treatment planning
· Crisis intervention /Safety planning
· Classroom Observations
· Provide Professional Development to school staff (as requested)
· Deliver parent education and workshops (as requested)
· Treatment monitoring, evaluation, termination, and referral
· Consultation with teachers and other school personnel.
2) Completes all required documentation on time and ensures maintenance of complete clinical record at all times for each assigned client as directed by agency policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
· Completing clinical, psychosocial assessments for each new client within required timelines and updating assessments on an annual basis
· Completing initial and subsequent Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs) within required timelines
· Documenting and filing progress notes within 24 hours of each psychotherapy/counseling session
· Obtaining and maintaining accurate client personal data, consents, and relevant collateral documentation
· Responding to failed appointments by clients with documented outreach and/or timely notification of discharge
· Completing all required discharge documentation within required timelines
· Maintaining all assigned client mental health charts in good and complete order.
3) Participate in weekly individual or group supervision if you are a licensed graduate counselor or social worker (e.g., LGPC, LMSW).
4) Attend weekly staff meetings to keep abreast of program issues, policy and procedure changes, and training content. Participates in agency-required meetings and in-service programs.
5) Performs all duties in compliance with program policies and procedures and with State of Maryland COMAR 10.21 Regulations.
6) Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
· Have at least 1-3 years of experience in the counseling/psychology/social work field.
· Some experience counseling school-aged and adolescent students.
· Some experience with facilitating groups and working with families.
Licensure Requirement:
*Must have one of the following licenses, in good standing, in the State of Maryland:
o Licensed Certified Professional Counselor (LCPC)
o Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C)
o Licensed Psychologist
o Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)
o Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW)
o Bi-Lingual in French and/or Spanish encouraged to apply.
