Certified Teacher

Position Overview: 

Chandler Park Academy (CPA) is a K-12 public charter school district that fosters academic excellence and character development within a collaborative and inclusive environment. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Master’s preferred)
  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with appropriate endorsement(s) for grade level(s) and subject area(s).
  • 0-2 years of teaching experience with evidence of effective teaching practices.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Planning, delivering, and assessing student learning
    • Research-based instructional strategies
    • Classroom management techniques
    • Integrating technology to support instruction
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to professional growth
  • Passion for supporting all students in achieving their potential

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement lesson plans aligned with Michigan State Standards, differentiate instruction, incorporate technology and hands-on activities, and use formative assessments to monitor student understanding
  • Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment, applying effective classroom management strategies and encouraging respectful, collaborative interactions among students
  • Provide academic support through individualized attention and small group instruction, maintain regular communication with students and parents, and utilize student data to adjust teaching strategies
  • Participate in mentorship programs, workshops, and training sessions, and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve instructional strategies
  • Support the school's mission and policies, participate in school events and community engagement initiatives, and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional resources
