Architecture Internship: Engineering Ministries International

A MIssions Architecture Internship with Engineering Ministries International is a journey of professional and spiritual discipleship that will challenge you to apply your faith, education, and skills to serve the body of Christ worldwide. There are missions architecture internship positions available in many of our locations around the world this fall! Our US office is located in Colorado Springs, but internships are also offered in locations such as Uganda, South Africa, Cambodia, Canada, Mexico, and the Middle East/North Africa region.

Imagine gaining NCARB Architecture experience while serving Christian ministries and being mentored by Christian design professionals!  Picture traveling to listen to a missionary in Africa or Latin America explain their ministry vision, and then programming, conceptualizing, and designing the spaces and facilities where that vision will be fulfilled! Imagine the impact your designs could have on a community for decades into the future! Gain practical, hands-on Architecture missions experience, working under licensed architects.

EMI architecture missionary internships are available for students who have completed at least their third year of university studies in their major. Often, EMI interns have already completed their undergraduate or graduate degrees or have been in the professional workplace for a year or two. We are looking for Architecture students and recent graduates, with similar vision who have skills in AutoCAD or Revit and are passionate about making a difference in the world!

In some cases, your EMI Internship may qualify for credit hours toward your degree program, as a university design project, as a Co-Op placement, or towards AXP Community-Based Design hours. However, this varies widely by university and internship location and will require advance approval & coordination.

EMI Internships are support-based. Interns are coached through raising support to cover the costs of the program including a stipend to help offset their cost of living.
