Description
Goal: To be a leader of summer activities for school-aged children (pre K-7th grade), which encourages the Great Escape goals of faith development, peer relationship building, physical activity, and creativity.
Job Requirements:
- Personable, with a heart for children.
- Ability to be a leader of children.
- Currently hold or be willing to attain CPR certification.
- Have a valid driver’s license with no tickets or at fault accidents/moving violations in the last 6 months.
- Have completed one year of college, by the start of camp.
Responsibilities:
- Lead devotions, Bible lessons, and faith building activities, as part of a leadership team.
- Plan and lead daily recreational activities, games, sports, crafts, service projects, and outings, as a part of a leadership team.
- Be a team player, assisting and supporting others on staff.
- Establish personal relationships with the Great Escape campers, particularly with children needing extra support.
- Maintain respectful conduct of all Great Escape participants.
- Be attentive to the safety of all Great Escape participants.
- Demonstrate faith in action.
Great Escape 2025 Schedule:
- Full time summer position. Daytime shifts, M-F. NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS!
- Training Dates (paid): May 29 - 30 & June 2 – 5.
- Camp Dates: June 9 – August 8.
- No Camp: July 3 – 4 & July 14 – 18.
Salary:
- $550.00/per week
- $100.00/Sign-On Bonus
- $50.00/Refer a Friend Bonus
*Redeemable upon hire of recommended staff member
- Daily lunches and snacks provided ($375.00 value)
