Community Research Collaborative (CRC) Team
Position: Copywriter
Overview:
The Copywriter will be responsible for crafting clear, compelling, and engaging content to support CRC’s research and community outreach efforts. This role involves writing for a variety of formats, including reports, web content, and promotional materials.
Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, and proofread content for research reports, web pages, and community engagement materials.
- Translate complex research findings into clear, engaging, and community-friendly language.
- Develop social media and blog content to amplify CRC’s mission and impact.
- Ensure all writing aligns with Duke’s branding, messaging, and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with designers and researchers to create multi-format storytelling (written, visual, digital).
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills with a portfolio of published work.
- Experience in journalistic, academic, or research-based writing is preferred.
- Ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with digital content strategy is a plus.
- Experience in community research, nonprofit work, or social impact storytelling is an advantage.
