The Cozy Nest is looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our highly-skilled, dedicated team of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists. The Cozy Nest is a growing multidisciplinary pediatric outpatient clinic and/or school-based placements located in beautiful Bozeman, Montana and surrounding areas. We work collaboratively with exceptional therapists in a family-centered model while providing evaluations and ongoing therapy for infants, toddlers, and children (up to age 18) with a range of different diagnosis including feeding, neurological, orthopedic, and developmental delays. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills with the desire to be part of a team working to make a difference for the children and families in our community. Duties for Occupational Therapists include evaluation, re-assessment, and treatment of children birth to 18 years old with a variety of diagnoses. This position is open starting January 27, 2025.
Occupational Therapist
- Screen, observe, evaluate, re-evaluate, monitor, interpret, document, and report a client's functional physical status in the practical life setting, including determining recommendations and implications for improved mobility and quality of life
- Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients
- Dispense appropriate, individualized, and ongoing home exercise programs for each child's needs with the family's specific situation in mind
- Promptly and thoroughly document and maintain clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries
- Ability to manage time and responsibilities, adapt to changing work priorities, and meet deadlines and schedules
- Ability to co-treat and communicate treatments across disciplines (PT, ST)
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with pediatricians, staff, management, client and families
- Adhere to employer work practices
- Maintain client records confidentiality in accordance to HIPAA regulations
Occupational Therapist/Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements:
- Valid Montana Occupational Therapy License
- Thorough knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
- Valid Driver’s License
- CPR and First-Aid Certification
- Fully Vaccinated for COVID and willing to adhere to COVID practices such as extra disinfecting/cleaning and mask wearing
- Pediatric/infant experience preferred
