Abandoned Mine Lands Field Intern

The Position

Public Service Interns receive training and complete a variety of assignments in staff activities directly relating to their major course of study while enrolled in an educational institution.

Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.

This internship is a 13-week summer program starting May 2025. Under general supervision, the interns will be responsible for the discovery and physical securing of abandoned mine openings that present hazards to humans or animals. The securing's are usually barbed wire fences. Work will be done at a variety of locations within Nevada.
