Position Overview/Duties:

This announcement is to recruit 1 TERM Regulatory Specialist (Interdisciplinary) GS-XXXX-07/09/11, (28063) for South Atlantic Division, Regulatory, Willington District.  

 

The incumbent will report to the office in Wake Forest, NC

This position TERM Regulatory Program Manager (Interdisciplinary) GS-XXXX-07/09/11, (28063) is NTE 1 year appointment may be extended up to 6 years or non-competitively converted to PERM. 

 

Regulatory Specialist (Interdisciplinary), GS-XXXX-11 Duties: Independently evaluate, process, and manage all types of permit applications and regulatory requests (General Permits (GP), Letters of Permission (LOP), Standard Permits (SP), Jurisdictional Determinations (JD), pre-application requests, permit compliance etc.). Objectively and critically evaluate permit applications, including determining regulatory authority, identifying, and quantifying regulated activities, identifying the appropriate permit instrument, assessing information needs, conducting the appropriate evaluations (National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Section 404(b) (1) of the Clean Water Act, National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Endangered Species Act

(ESA), etc.
