Data Monitoring Project Manager
Seeking a qualified data manager with program evaluation skills to conduct data analysis and reporting of community-based nutrition and physical activity interventions.
You will evaluate multi-level programming related to obesity prevention, nutrition education, and promotion consistent with public health approaches, the socioecological model of health, health policy, systems, and environmental change approaches, and prevention. With a focus on community-based nutrition education, including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed), the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), you will provide project management, evaluation oversight, staff training, and data monitoring of the SNAP-Ed and EFNEP planning and reporting.
In addition to quantitative program evaluation and research roles, you will utilize skills necessary to conduct qualitative analysis and will help build systems to make PSE evaluation efficient and streamlined across four project areas (schools, early care, community, and food access). You will continuously interface with staff, supervisors, communicators, funders, and other leaders who need support for data collection, reporting, and quality improvement, while assisting with the creation of multi-year plans of work and annual reports of accomplishments. To be successful in this role, you will be required to problem solve, possess an understanding of logic models, demonstrate your ability to monitor, compile, track, analyze, extrapolate, and synthetize complex numeric and text information for report generation.
Although negotiable, there is space available for this position to work from the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
This position may be eligible to utilize a flexible work environment, however, there is an expectation to work from a MSU Extension campus-based office. The needs, responsibilities, and opportunities of an individual’s position and office location drive the ability and amount of work-location flexibility.
