Engineering Technician

This position will provide engineering assistance to landowners, groups, and local government to maintain a variety of conservation projects in the Rome, GA area. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Making site evaluations to assess the need for engineering measures and making or recommending preliminary alternatives or improvements.
- Designing and planning engineering practices and structures for a variety of conservation programs, including assembly of complete packages of drawings and specifications for jobs and preparing drawings using CADD and manual methods.
- Inspecting work under construction and maintaining construction inspection records.
- Determining the type, scope, and intensity of field investigations and surveys.
- Collecting field data, processing and plotting data related to engineering practices, and ensuring that procedures and products conform to current service policy and standards.
