Event Center Finance Manager

This position is responsible for managing the business operations of the Bismarck Event Center.

Examples of Duties

 

  • Prepares settlements and invoices for designated events.
  • Assists in the development and management of Bismarck Event Center operations and capital budgets.
  • Assists in performing box office duties as needed.
  • Reconciles Bismarck Events Center checking and savings accounts.
  • Reviews venue lease agreements and contracts for ticketed events in regard to their financial terms and implements payments following established procedures.
  • Monitors costs and maintains financial records.
  • Provides analysis of events, sales, ticketing reports, fees, etc.
  • Maintains event cost spreadsheets.
  • Obtains appropriate documentation from departments to complete event cost records.
  • Maintains financial settlement files on all events and ensures that all costs information is documented.
  • Reviews procedures to ensure that events are properly recorded and compliant with City of Bismarck policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintains relationships with several departments to gather necessary accounting information to stay current on events and related bills.
  • Oversees the ticketing process for events.
  • Performs related duties.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of accounting and event budget preparation and control at a level normally acquired through completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
  • Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service.
