Event Center Finance Manager
This position is responsible for managing the business operations of the Bismarck Event Center.
Examples of Duties
- Prepares settlements and invoices for designated events.
- Assists in the development and management of Bismarck Event Center operations and capital budgets.
- Assists in performing box office duties as needed.
- Reconciles Bismarck Events Center checking and savings accounts.
- Reviews venue lease agreements and contracts for ticketed events in regard to their financial terms and implements payments following established procedures.
- Monitors costs and maintains financial records.
- Provides analysis of events, sales, ticketing reports, fees, etc.
- Maintains event cost spreadsheets.
- Obtains appropriate documentation from departments to complete event cost records.
- Maintains financial settlement files on all events and ensures that all costs information is documented.
- Reviews procedures to ensure that events are properly recorded and compliant with City of Bismarck policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintains relationships with several departments to gather necessary accounting information to stay current on events and related bills.
- Oversees the ticketing process for events.
- Performs related duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of accounting and event budget preparation and control at a level normally acquired through completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
- Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service.
