Grief Support Group Facilitator

We are looking for caring and empathetic people to become facilitators for our peer-to-peer grief support groups! No experience is needed but training will be required and given. This is a terrific way to gain experience working with groups and it looks great on a resume! Our group facilitators play a pivotal role in a child’s grief journey. They lead activities and discussions to help children process their grief through a variety of means and work with the children to understand their emotions and experiences. You are paired with a co-facilitator to lead these groups. 

there will be a large training day on a Saturday in January to make sure that you are prepared and confident in your abilities as you facilitate these groups. This experience will teach you skills such as empathy and group dynamics that are valuable in both personal and professional contexts. 

  The expected volunteer time requirements would be one night a week for 12 weeks across one and a half months from 6- 8 PM. You would be responsible for facilitating peer to peer grief support groups that would be for children age groups 4-17.
