Lover's Lane, the premiere store for couples is now hiring a Store Manager for our retail store.
Our Store Managers are responsible for:
The Store Manager is responsible for managing and directing the daily operation of a retail store including customer service, sales, and inventory control. The Store Manager is also responsible for all activity that takes place in his/her store including full profit and loss accountability. The ideal candidate will be an effective leader by encouraging, motivating, and leading the sales team by example to achieve sales and operational quotas. The Store Manager is also required to coach and supervise the activities of assigned staff, cashiers, sales associates and keyholders providing employees with constant feedback, constructive criticism, and praise.
The candidate must be familiar with a retail sales concepts, practices, and procedures and must be able to manage people and the business operations. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are a must! The candidate will be self-motivated and able to motivate a diverse team of individuals. They will be self-disciplined, patient, and decisive, as well as able to schedule and direct the work of subordinates. A thorough understanding of budget constraints and quota achievement is also required. The Store Manager relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and works under indirect supervision
The ideal candidate must have:
- High School Diploma or GED (a degree in a related field is preferred),
- Open availability,
- Two to five years of retail experience, and
- One to two years of management experience
- Valid Operator’s License, Current Vehicle Registration, and Liability Auto Insurance
