Starting pay range:  $17.81-$23.39/hour 

This position is full-time, 37.5 hours a week.

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Education, Division of Workforce Innovation & Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation has a full-time vacancy for a Rehabilitation Technician.

SUMMARY: To assist disabled clients and/or applicants of a Vocational Rehabilitation Office in following policies and procedures in order to receive services as outlined in their vocational plans for the purpose of maximizing employment potential and personal independence.

 

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Completion of two years of college with courses in statistics, accounting, personnel management, psychology, sociology or related subjects. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Two years' experience in business or Human Services, requiring public contact, and/or attention to detail as required in explaining rules and regulations or processing technical reports. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

License/CertificationMust possess a valid driver’s license and/or have access to transportation for use in performing job accountabilities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in managing client caseload to ensure timely services and to meet the goal of successful rehabilitation. Documents individual case records to comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Assists counseling staff in coordinating services between clients, agencies and employers, and with related appointments. Prepares authorizations for goods and services in the case management system.
  • Receives calls to the Vocational Rehabilitation Office, collects information about clients and arranges appointments for people with disabilities in order to assess their individual needs.
  • Reviews invoices received from vendors, obtains counselor approval, and processes invoices through the case management system.
  • Monitors the office’s unliquidated obligations and works with counselors and or vendors on outstanding invoices. Researches information pertaining to payments for vendors and counselors.
  • Problem solves technical issues related to the case management system. Requests updates to vendors, services, and authorizations as needed.
  • Provides information to vendors and the general public relating to agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintains inventory and monitor the ordering of supplies for a regional office.
