About the Global Communications Internship

We are seeking passionate and creative summer interns to join our Global Communications team. In this role, you’ll play a part in shaping and sharing the story of Walmart as both a global enterprise or one of the key business segments we support (Walmart US, Walmart International, Sam’s Club). This is a chance to gain hands-on experience in media relations, content creation, and digital storytelling within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your leadership skills, expand your professional network, and make a lasting impact on our company's mission and values.

 

During the 11-week internship, participants will:

  • Support Media Relations: Assist in crafting press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials. Develop and maintain media lists and track media coverage.
  • Digital Storytelling: Create compelling content for various digital platforms, including blogs, social media, and newsletters. Collaborate with the team to produce engaging multimedia content.
  • Communication Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of global communication strategies. Assist in planning and coordinating events and campaigns.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, media landscape, and competitive analysis to support communication initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging across all channels.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be actively enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program.
  • Expected graduation date between December 2025-August 2026. 
  • Strong Communicators: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Digital Savvy: Proficient in using social media platforms and content management systems. Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing is a plus.
  • Creative Thinkers: Able to generate innovative ideas for content and storytelling.
  • Organized and Proactive: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Team Players: Collaborative and able to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Willing to relocate to Walmart’s Home Office hub (Bentonville, AR) after graduation

  • Or other related programs

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00-$35.00*
