Service Center Support Specialist - Campus Services Facilities Management

Summary of Job Duties:

The Service Center Support Specialist receives, records, orders, and distributes key inventory and supplies. This position will receive payments for lost keys, and takes payments for deposits on keys. This position will help in processing work orders, ensuring correct crew, PO, information is entered into the system and processing information for vehicle rentals; answer departmental switchboard; direct callers to appropriate person; take and deliver messages as necessary; greets customers and directs them to appropriate personnel/area.

This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

At least two years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed

 

Preferred Qualifications:

General office experience

Demonstrated good customer service skills

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of record keeping procedures

Knowledge of the principles and practices of mathematics and statistics

Knowledge of work-related subject area

Knowledge of computers and software applications

Ability to conduct research and compile data into report form

Ability to establish and maintain filing systems

Ability to operate standard office equipment and use of Microsoft Office

Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures

Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
