Laborer
- Laborers perform manual tasks involving grounds maintenance, brush cutting and debris clean up.
- This position requires operating equipment over primitive, unpaved roads in a rural setting in all types of weather conditions.
- Work will involve surveying, re-surveying, and subdividing sections of the Public Land Survey System, including loading, unloading, and packing equipment and supplies.
- Performing minor repairs and maintenance of equipment and tools; operating chain saws and other power tools to clear brush and small trees along random survey lines.
- This can include digging holes for survey monuments, blazing, tagging, posting, and painting trees along a survey line to mark the true boundary line.
- Operating chain saws and other power tools to clear brush and trees along the trails; hiking long distances carrying hand tools and power tools; and performing minor repairs and maintenance of equipment/tools.
- Individuals should be capable of working alone, or with other people, during early morning hours, night, or during the day.
