The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Financial Assistance is seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist for the Emergency Drinking Water/Cleanup and Abatement Account (CAA) Unit in the Office of Sustainable Water Solutions Branch. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 16th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814 right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations and other public transportation.

Duties:

Under the direction of the Supervising Water Resource Control Engineer, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the essential work performed by technical staff in the Emergency Drinking Water/CAA Unit in the Office of Sustainable Water Solutions Branch to support the Division’s goals and the people of California. The incumbent is expected to provide leadership and guide staff to work cooperatively with other agency staff and interested parties, oversees the preparation of funding application documents, and supervises a technical team in review, selection, and recommendation of projects for funding.  Specific responsibilities are included in the attached duty statement.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
