Site Manager - EH&S

Job Summary: This position is responsible for leading and managing Environmental Compliance and Health & Safety (EHS) efforts for the brewery site. This position supports, mentors, and develops EHS team members to ensure efficiency in programs, policies, and procedures. The position will be the site’s first point of contact for any site safety issues or maintenance and partner with department leadership to support site safety holistically.

Essential Duties:

  • Advocate and promote everyone safe every day culture as part of a human powered business
  • Identify risks, prioritize, and support the implementation of exposure controls to assure coworker health and safety and to
    prevent environmental noncompliance
  • Conduct, analyze, maintain, and implement solutions for EHS incident prevention and risk reduction
  • Develop, audit, and maintain the EHS compliance calendar actions, inspections, and EHS standard operating procedures per
    corporate standards and local regulations.
  • Manage environmental and training compliance specific to state regulations and corporate standards
  • Partner with departmental leadership to ensure compliance with site specific SOP’s for equipment and processes
  • Implement and manage corrective and preventative actions from internal audits and compliance inspections
  • Record, track, trend, and report on EHS metrics and key performance indicators
  • Mentor and train others in area(s) of technical expertise
  • Lead as EHS Representation in major capital projects and/or focused improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

    Education/ Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline or 10+ years in related field
  • A subject matter expert in most EHS related topics
  • 5+ of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a brewing /beverage facility is desirable
  • People Leadership and Project Management Experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift objects up to 55 lbs and carry for 3 steps
  • Ability to lift objects up to 37 pounds overhead
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs carrying objects up to 6 lbs.
  • Ability to demonstrate their ability to stoop, climb, squat, and reach overhead
  • Coworker, project and testing support outside a typical work week may be needed at times.

Percent of Travel: 5%

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell’s and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Starting Salary Range: $75,000 – $84,500
