Essential Functions
- Under administrative direction, serves as a Product Development Senior Analyst for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) performing highly complex and advisory application development functions involving substantial technical research and systems analysis.
- Serves as team lead on complex projects while independently, planning, developing, and implementing techniques for gathering and interpreting data.
- Evaluates new application requests and related technology to anticipate the probable impact on future and current information systems.
- Serves as a liaison between users, other DoIT staff and vendors to resolve issues or provide guidance.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology (IT) field by continuing education through attending meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related field.
- Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Application Services or a related Information Technology field.
Preferred Qualifications (In Order of Significance)
- Three (3) years of professional experience with programming capabilities and database application development.
- Three (3) years of professional experience leading application development projects.
- Three (3) years of professional experience performing business and systems analyses for application development.
- Three (3) years of experience conducting product development utilizing Microsoft Dynamics M365 or Microsoft Power Platform.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML, CSS, Microsoft Visual Studio, or Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Ability to analyze data logically and exercise sound judgment in defining, evaluating, and solving difficult administrative, organizational, technical, or operational problems where solutions may be of a precedent-establishing or research nature.
- Ability to coordinate the activities of work associates to achieve desired results.
- Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, clients, and others.
- Developed verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to others with clarity and precision.
