Biological Science Technician (Plants)

Are you passionate about plant ecology, conservation, and working in America’s remarkable national parks? The National Park Service is hiring Biological Science Technicians (Plants) across several beautiful locations! This is your chance to work directly with ecologists and botanists, conducting field studies, monitoring plant populations, and supporting the restoration of vital ecosystems.

🗓️ Seasonal Positions: Six-month roles, with start dates anticipated between March-July 2025 (dependent on weather and project needs). Government housing may be available at some locations.

What You’ll Do:
Field Studies: Conduct surveys, inventory plant populations, and map vegetation.
Invasive Species Management: Lead field crews in eradicating exotic plants and aiding in ecosystem restoration.
Data Collection: Collect, assess, and classify data; ensure high-quality control of all samples.
Nursery and Propagation Work: Participate in seed collection, nursery work, and plant disease control efforts.
Report Preparation: Assist in developing plans, guidelines, and reports related to plant resource management.
