Essential Functions
- Under general supervision, serves as a Lead Quality Assurance Analyst for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), performing professional work of an intermediate level of difficulty in the Quality Assurance/Monitoring Unit and assisting in the review and continued revision to required documentation of software development throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Provides professional information, guidance, training, and problem-solving assistance of an intermittent level to unit staff.
- Provides quality assurance services for assigned systems supported by the division, including assisting with preparing user and operational guidelines, operational manuals, and system documentation.
- Analyzes assigned data for possible issues and root cause issues through data analytics as well as failure points to determine root cause issues and brings to lead worker’s attention.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
- Requires one (1) year of applications services or related Information Technology experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of professional experience in quality assurance with IT services.
- One (1) year of professional experience in relational database management tools, reporting tools, MS Office Suite, and MS Visio
- One (1) year of professional experience in SDLC, NIST, FISMA, CISSP, or ITIL principles.
- Working knowledge of IT concepts and principles.
- Working knowledge of hardware, software, or languages and procedures to provide assigned technical and analytical support services.
- Developed verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to others with clarity and precision.
- Ability to analyze data logically and exercise sound judgement in defining and evaluating problems of an operational or procedural nature.
- Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, clients, and others.

Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
