Document Control Specialist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain document control systems in ERP (Syspro) and PLM (Arena), including Parts, BOMs, AML, ECO, Revisions, and other documentation
- Create and maintain effective filing systems for document storage, ensuring accuracy, security, and accessibility
- Ensure document processes meet ISO standards, maintaining compliance with policies and record retention requirements
- Oversee all aspects of document lifecycle management, including document classification, filing, version control, access permissions, and archiving
- Maintain accurate data on Part Numbers, BOMs, Drawings, Custom Parts, Routings, AVL, NPI, and Production records
- Process and manage ECOs, including reviewing, approving, and coordinating with engineers and other stakeholders
- Conduct periodic document audits to confirm accuracy and relevance, and support ISO Audits as required
- Facilitate weekly Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and oversee product release to production
- Generate and analyze document control metrics, providing reports to management
- Train employees on Syspro ERP and Arena PLM systems to ensure proper document handling and accessibility
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Knowledge of Document Control, ECO/ECN, and ISO compliance processes
- Experience with ERP and PLM systems (Syspro and/or Arena preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and BOMs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Adobe, SharePoint, and other document management tools
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, or supply chain preferred
