In this role, you can expect to work Monday through Friday, all on site at Denver International Airport 8500 Pena Blvd. Denver, CO 80249.

 

What You’ll Do

The Passenger Processing Systems (PPS) team is charged with managing and maintaining critical airport IT systems.  To perform that function, the PPS Team requires staff members to be able to troubleshoot, repair and maintain computer hardware, monitors, printers, and other computer peripherals – as well as manage the vendor applications using their respective consoles, tools, and portals.  To provide the necessary support levels for these applications, PPS requires a resource to assist with the following:

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs computer hardware and software including PCs, kiosks, printers, monitors, scanners, and input devices

Monitors, tunes, diagnoses, and resolves hardware, firmware, operating system, and application problems

Performs technical support in a formal or informal help desk setting to users with common hardware and software problems, which includes logging, troubleshooting, testing, adjusting, resolving, or referring problems to the appropriate Business Technology resource

Acts as a liaison between our customers and the Business Technology unit to communicate problems and possible solutions

Maintains computerized inventory of IT equipment and specialized services for users

Maintains technical procedures, documentation, operational instructions and/or project or work order status

Reads and understands technical or other complex materials required for the job

Tests in-house or vendor developed software and software upgrades for user requirements and documents errors or discrepancies for correction

Creates and manages user accounts, directories, and files on the systems we support

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

 

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:​

Understanding of and Experience Supporting Aviation-related IT Systems

Understanding of and Experience Supporting Video Display Systems

Firm grasp of Basic IT System Support concepts

Strong Customer Service and Communications skills

Flexible work schedule availability

 

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.

Experience: Four (4) years of Information Technology experience performing user support of desktop, legacy systems and/or Information Technology communications systems.

Licensures/Certification(s): Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment

Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
