- Clean Technology Systems: exhaust-air purification systems and energy-efficiency technology.
- Woodworking Machinery and Systems: machinery for the woodworking.

Position Summary:
The Director of Engineering is a key member of the leadership team for the Clean Technology Systems (CTS) Division in the Americas. This role plans, develops, and directs engineering activities across multiple offices and manufacturing locations to provide on time, within budget, quality customer solutions. In alignment with the strategy of the VP of CTS Americas, the Director of Engineering develops, prioritizes, and implements plans within the Engineering team to achieve the overall company's business goals. Primary responsibilities are overseeing the mechanical and electrical engineering functions including product design, standardization, and development of drawing packages for in-house and subcontracted manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering management, a proven track record of KPI development in line with overall business goals, and the ability to hold their team accountable to achieve goals.
Essential Functions:
- Provides leadership and direction for the engineering departments to build and strengthen internal and external customer relationships, grow profitability, and deliver quality products on time and within budget.
- Converts business strategy into an actionable roadmap for departments to establish and communicate priorities.
- Supports and implement plans to target markets, customers and products that will increase sales and market share for the Company.
- Inspires, motivates, and supports team members while encouraging growth and development.
- Works and cooperates with Operations to ensure that products manufactured are consistent with engineering requirements, good design and manufacturing practice, consistent with Company throughput metrics.
- Oversees an active "design for manufacturability" process where plant ideas are vetted and implemented into design standards.
- Makes data-driven and timely decisions, balancing risk with opportunity
- Collaborates with the Global teams to align strategies for Global customers and to ensure consistent engineering designs and practices are utilized
- Manages performance of direct reports, provides prompt and objective coaching, and ensures effective communication
- Works well with cross-functional teams, fostering a cooperative and inclusive environment
- Fosters optimum performance by recommending and implementing techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, reduce costs, analyze opportunities, and maintain best practices.
- Develops and monitors departmental metrics to monitor performance and ensure appropriate staffing levels are in place.
- Keeps abreast of trends and practices in the field
- Upholds a strong sense of responsibility, setting an example for quality, ethics, respect, and trust.
- Works closely and collaborates with the VP to assure continuity of the general management of the Company in the event of his/her absence and/or unavailability.
- Travel requirement up to 15% (or as required to meet the business needs)
Position Qualifications:
- BS in an Engineering discipline required, MS or MBA preferred
- Minimum 10 years in a management position with multiple department or geographic regional responsibilities
- Proven track record of developing and implementing KPIs in line with overall business goals
- Experience driving change and strategy development in a senior leadership positionSAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) system

Physical Requirements:
- This position requires the ability to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
- Consistently operates a computer and other office equipment such as a, copy machine, computer printer, calculator, etc.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the work-day
- Ability to frequently communicate, verbally and or written with employees, management, suppliers, and customers
