Age Group Leaders
Tripp Lake Camp in Poland, Maine, is looking for age group leaders. Tripp is a residential 7 week session summer camp for girls. Founded in 1911, our campers ages 7-16 are able to join a broad array of team and individual sports, performing and visual arts, outdoor living, tripping, and waterfront activities. Our campers and coed staff come from all over the world to spend their summer on our 260 acres with a mile of shorefront in the foothills of Maine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of 30-40 campers by overseeing their general wellbeing, helping them navigate daily camp living and guiding their personal growth throughout the summer
- Manage campers daily, accompanying them to activities throughout the day. Visiting their bunks each night to review the next days schedule
- Help coordinate special age group activities like relay races, bingo nights etc.
- Work closely with camp leadership through daily communication about camper safety, needs and challenges
- Support camp leadership in communication with campers’ families as needed
- Supervisor the bunk counselors who live with the girls in their age group including daily check-ins with their bunk counselors daily to ensure they have the support needed and to work together to solve any issues that arise.
- Conduct mid and end of summer evaluations for the bunk counselors in their age group
- Complete end of summer reports to summarize the experience of each camper in their age group
