Sales Representative
SUMMARY:
Rand Whitney is a privately owned, diversified paper and packaging manufacturer operating in New England and the Mid-Atlantic.
Our Sale Representatives are primarily responsible for identifying new prospects, soliciting, selling, and implementing Rand Whitney products and solutions to customers. In addition to new business acquisition, you will work towards strengthening the business relationship and maximizing the penetration opportunities of existing customers.
In this position you will be engaged in sales activities outside the office, face-to-face, including but not limited to, creating relationships with decision makers, influencers, end users, current buyers and new prospects within an organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop business plans to meet personal and company sales objectives
- Qualify and develop active, viable pipelines through targeting prospects and initiating contact utilizing the various methods of sales lead generation
- Manage, support and develop relationships and growth opportunities within new and existing accounts
- Actively pursue cost reduction opportunities and identify alternative means to provide value to a prospect/customer
- Provide accurate market feedback and industry trends
- Work closely with internal supporting departments to ensure customer requirements are met
- Identify needs and implement solutions to increase revenue
- Escalate issues and concerns to production, design and other critical functions to improve quality, service and all deliverables
- Create synergy between the various Rand Whitney divisions and other businesses to capitalize on all opportunities for revenue generation
- Special projects and assignments as needed for business
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of business, sales, marketing, product/brand management, or manufacturing/production experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated
- Result Orientated
- Organized
- Excellent communication skills
- Project management experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Corrugated packaging experience
- Design and graphics experience
- Technical experience with carton erecting equipment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to handle or feel
- Must be able to drive and visit customer locations
- The employee frequently is required to talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms
