Are you an organized self-starter who has an interest in the Justice System? If so, the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office might have the job for you. We are looking for a full-time Legal Assistant. Successful candidates will have an Associate’s degree in a paralegal, criminal justice, or closely related field with two years of clerical work experience. Previous customer service experience and experience working in a law office or legal setting are desired and helpful.

Our Legal Assistant provides legal administrative support to the District Attorney’s Office. This position will prepare and process legal documents and schedule and perform preparatory work for trials, hearings, and administrative proceedings. Our Legal Assistant provides courteous and efficient customer service by addressing and resolving customer questions and concerns as able and refers complex inquires, requests, or complaints to the appropriate staff. This position also performs records management duties to ensure statutory timelines are met for all cases.
