Patent Attorney
KLS has an opening for a registered U.S. Patent Attorney to join our growing practice.
This position is fully remote.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications
- Provide legal advice on valuable intellectual property rights such as patents, technical data, trade secrets, licenses, copyrights and trademarks
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for the intellectual property of clients
- Additional responsibilities may include client interface opportunities, docket management, and work product and quality control review
- Other duties as assigned by firm partners

Supervisory Responsibility
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- B.S. or higher degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or physics, required
- Registered with the USPTO, required
- A minimum of three years of patent preparation and prosecution experience required
