Fundraising Partnership Volunteer

As a Fundraising & Marketing Partnership Volunteer, you’ll help secure fundraising partnerships while gaining hands-on experience in outreach, marketing, and community engagement. Your efforts will directly support high-quality tutoring for low-income students, empowering them to achieve academic success and creating ripple effects in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential business partners in assigned regions (Chicago, Houston, Dallas)
  • Craft compelling, personalized outreach emails to pitch fundraising collaborations
  • Track outreach progress and partnerships in our system (training provided)
  • Collaborate with the team to refine marketing materials and outreach strategies
  • Attend weekly virtual meetings for updates, training, and support

What You’ll Gain:

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Ability to volunteer 5+ hours/week for 3+ months (starting right away)
  • Reliable laptop/tablet, WiFi, and ability to call U.S. businesses during daytime hours (9am–5pm CT)
  • Passion for education equity, community engagement, or nonprofit work

Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Required):

  • Pursuing/holding a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in nonprofit work, fundraising, or donor relations
  • Graphic design skills
  • Email marketing experience
  • Familiarity with CRMs like Salesforce or HubSpot
